The Power of Inner Conversations (Self Talk).

Hi, Happy Thaipusam to all Malaysians. I’m so glad that the government decided to make today as a public holiday in KL because I’m working in KL! It’s not that I don’t enjoy working but a holiday, even though one day, can really help me to do some planning and re-focus on what I’m going to do and to write my article :)

Let me ask you a question : Who is the most important person you communicate with today?

Got your answer? Is it your parents, superior, new prospects or clients, celebrity? Have you consider yourself as the most important person you communicate with today and everyday?

The fact is we talk to ourselves all the time. This is what I call as inner conversations (or self talk). Even at the point of writing this article I’m constantly talking to myself. Even as you’re reading my article you are talking to yourself. It’s just a matter of awareness. Read the rest of this entry »

What is your learning attitude?

Hi, there! How’s your weekend so far? I’m now sitting at Starbucks at Plaza Mont Kiara thinking about this topic that I’m going to share with you J This week, let’s talk about our attitude, or specifically our learning attitude. I am a firm believer in lifelong learning, which is the reason this Personal Development Archive is all about. Read the rest of this entry »

Be Grateful!

Hi, how’s your New Year celebrations? Well, mine is exciting, with some sweet and sour touch to it, haha :) As we usher to 2008, as what I’ve shared previously about goal-settings, I think it is also important for us to be grateful, grateful for what previous years brought us and who we become, grateful that the new year brings a lot of fresh hopes and promises for you to achieve whatever that you want to achieve.

Gratefulness is one of the quality that everyone should have. You might ask, WHY? Why should I be grateful when everything seems to be out of my way? Well, that’s a good question. If you want to be happy, you have to learn the art of being grateful, it’s really a pre-requisite to happinness.

You see, gratefulness is the thinking and feeling of appreciation and contentment to what one has, so far. So can I ask you to think and if possible, write the things that you’re grateful for? For example, a loving and supportive family, a best friend who’s always there, a great career, etc? Can you think of it? Please don’t tell me that you don’t have anything in your life to be grateful for! Come on, think again…what about for being in this blog and thinking? haha :) Read the rest of this entry »
